What We Do

I Sky Consulting is on a mission to create a more equitable, DIVERSE, inclusive and accessible (EDIA) organization for you. 

Whether your business is struggling to close the gaps faced by your community, or you are challenged to remain relevant with today’s changing needs, I Sky Consulting’s approach is to make EDIA actionable through concrete implementation tools and resources. Founded in 2016 by CEO Iona Sky, I Sky Consulting has expertly advised dozens of organizations through different tension points, critical decisions and strategic plans with equity and accessibility at its core.

Going beyond education and awareness is at the heart of I Sky Consulting and we are thrilled to put EDIA into action for you. 

Since its creation, I Sky Consulting has grown to include a dynamic and knowledgeable team of specialists.

Meet Iona

With over twenty years of experience in social services, Iona's areas of focus are practice application and service excellence, leadership coaching and organizational change.

Iona Sky (they/them/she/her) is an Indo-Canadian social worker, consultant and educator who has been recognized globally for their insights and innovative leadership. Renowned for their experience, expertise and empathy in organizational and system-change work, Iona always begins the work with a rare combination of humility and confidence to get the job done.  They regularly work in consultation with public and private sector organizations. Iona currently educates the next generation of leaders at the University of Waterloo. 

This journey as a dually marginalized and privileged person in the Canadian landscape has provided Iona with different experiences of oppression as well as privilege, which they use to inform their approach with clients.

At the heart of Iona’s work is their lived intersectional experiences as a queer immigrant parent with invisible disabilities.
